Kalulu Wakupyolera Mtunda Utari (Even a Hare Gets Heavy on a Long Journey): Carrying Each Other’s Burdens in Africa

The title of this presentation is a proverb in the language of Chitumbuka. It encourages people to help each other because one person can’t carry a load alone. All the work being done in Africa is not being done by one group only. Africans are helping to carry the burdens that the WELS missionaries have. African called workers and synods carry the burdens of congregational and synod work. The One Africa Team is carrying burdens such as financial, teaching, and travel that are too heavy for the Africans. LWMS and WELS members lift burdens by sending cards, gifts, prayers, and financial support. Christ has carried our burdens to the cross and asks us to cast all our burdens on him.
